Emirates to Launch A380 Flights to Bangkok

Following the successful deployment of Emirates' A380 to Sydney and Auckland, the Dubai-based airline announced it will launch A380 flights on Bangkok route on June 1, 2009.

The introduction of the A380 on the Dubai-Bangkok-Dubai route will boost available capacity by 30 % and is expected to contribute to increasing tourist arrivals from Dubai and the larger Middle East. The new Emirates service represents the aviation world's first A380 operation to Bangkok and promises to usher in a whole new, luxury air travel experience to Thailand.

The existing EK 372/373 daily service will be operated by Emirates' A380. EK 372 departs Dubai at 09:40 hours, arriving in Bangkok at 19:00 hours. Return flight EK 373 departing Bangkok at 21:25 hours and arriving in Dubai at 00:30 hours the following morning.

United Kingdom is a key inbound market for Thailand and Emirates' A380 network also includes London Heathrow. The airline's new Bangkok service will facilitate a seamless A380 experience for UK tourists travelling to Thailand.

Emirates A380's ground-breaking in-flight product includes onboard shower spas in the First Class cabin featuring signature products by the airline's premium spa brand, Timeless Spa. The onboard lounge for First and Business class customers mirrors the ambience of an executive club and includes a bar with a wide range of beverages.
